Our CCD class had a busy week cleaning the church preparing for the Easter Vigil and Fiesta. During spring break, most of us decided to go to the beach to take a break, spend time with each other outside of church, have fun, and get to know everyone a little bit more since we're always together during the weekends for class.

We met in our CCD class, but since it’s only for one day, we don’t  have the chance to learn much about each other. However, when we arrived at the beach, there was an instant connection among us. We felt comfortable and outgoing, quickly engaging in conversation and getting to know one another.

We enjoyed getting to know each other better and spending quality time outside of class, which was a lot of fun. Whether swimming together or simply sitting and chatting, we bonded as a group. Of course, like any friends, we have our occasional disagreements, but we always strive to find a resolution, knowing that these moments are just part of the fun.

While some of our friends were playfully grappling with each other, I spent time with my friend discussing upcoming events at CCD and capturing memories of our day through photographs.

Everyone was having a great time we all thought of the idea do doing something outside of CCD because of the busy schedule we had during our spring break with Holy Week and cleaning of the church in preparation for the Easter Vigil

After we grew tired from swimming, we gathered to enjoy a meal together and engage in more conversation. Our head altar server kindly blessed the food, adding a special touch to our gathering. It was heartwarming that everyone chipped in with food and drinks, creating a sense of togetherness and generosity.

We came prepared with chairs, food, snacks, a volleyball, and a volleyball net, excited to play. However, our plans hit a snag when we couldn’t find a way to set up the net due to the lack of poles. Despite our efforts, we eventually decided to abandon the idea and focus on other activities.

Unable to find nearby trees to set up the net, we improvised and played volleyball in a circle, making the most of the situation. Spending the day together felt incredible, especially considering it was the last day of spring break.

Everyone seemed to be bursting with energy, and I couldn’t believe how these guys managed to grapple continuously for 20 minutes straight. It was quite entertaining to watch!

We ended up all eating again after this picture because we all used up our energy swimming and these guys were just grappling all day which was insane

The break provided much-needed respite from the busy week, allowing us to clear our heads and enjoy some freedom. While we all strive for good attendance in our CCD class, many of us have personal matters we may not wish to discuss. A day at the beach with friends served as the perfect opportunity to recharge and mentally prepare before returning.

Lastly, here’s a picture of the stunning sunset from our unforgettable day together. Spending time with each other was an absolute blast, and I believe we all needed that day off. I hope that in the future, we’ll have the opportunity to do this again, as it allowed us to bond and understand each other more deeply outside of the parish.
